"He is an outstanding representation of the Akita (Japanese) - not just his majestic handsome looks, but structure and his devoted peaceful temperament. When I mention ‘soulfulness’, this boys eyes say it all."
December 16th 2012 our 1st JAI (Japanese Akita Inu), was born on our very own shores in New South Wales. Nine weeks later our family welcomed D'Artagnan - “FireandMist Valour of the Sun”. His Pedigree name totally befits his character and his call name integrates his playful side - being the 4th Musketeer in our household of 3 children, & our Loyal Guardian. He is Australia's very 1st born ANKC Registered Akita (Japanese) puppy, registered since the breed gained its own recognition from the American Akita late in 2012.
D’Artagnan was welcomed to our home as our pet, the world of breeding and showing wasn’t really on our minds but our journey was changing. We started show training him when he was already 9 months, old by some standardss and total novices – both of us, but we had ago and won 2 x BOB’s at our 1st attempts of showing.
December 19th 2014, after the long, long wait & process of importing & quarantine, we welcomed 'Misaki' - from Poland, by top European breeders Sakura No Sono. A total of 17 months of loving patience and commitment, following Misaki while still in her mum Sango’s belly- Misaki arrived 3 months after her 1st birthday, with a heartmelting smile that is constantly on her pretty face.
Her name means 'Eternal love beautiful bloom (young cherry blossom)' – a presentation of ‘Our Love’.

"Misaki is the happiest sweetest girl & comes from some of Europe's finest."
Misaki had many show wins whilst a puppy in Europe, just missing her Junior Chof Poland due to her more important travel plans to Australia. Arriving during our regions 4.5 months show closure, then seasons and breeding, her show career has taken a break, but she always graces herself with an elegant gait and heartwarming smile.
